Do You Love Surprises?

Recently, my wife was telling a young professional whom she hadn't seen in years, that our Lord loves to give surprises. He brightened up and she encouraged him to look for them. They might be personal, professional, or something he's wanted for a long time. He seemed to hang onto every word.

My giver-of-encouragement sweetheart told this family friend, not to be pressured, but she asked him to, "Let us know, when you receive a surprise. It could be weeks, months, or whenever."

Our young friend left and we had no idea if and when we would hear from him...or even if he took our encouragement with him.

Then we were 'surprised' when just two days later he texted us. He was  excited and wanted to share his wonderful news. He had received his first surprise, a big
one. Then he added, "I know there will be many more!"

In the New Testament, we're told dozens of times, that Jesus Christ amazed others. Those frequent occurrences surprised people because of His wise words or miraculous deeds.

Our fine young friend was encouraged to believe that God loves to surprise us, and to expect those surprises. Perhaps they'll come when he least expects them, and probably when he needs them most.

After one of Jesus' miracles, Scripture records, "And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, 'He has done all things well'" (Mark 7:37 NKJV).

Multitudes were surprised over and over again.

His surprises never fall flat. He plans and works them out perfectly.

Down through the ages, and in our day, countless people have been amazed beyond measure at God's thoughtful, caring, wise and loving surprises.

Our intelligent friend wants to visit the next time he's in town, and we believe that he expects to share more surprises.

Watch for those surprises and when they come, be sure to thank Him, and then tell others of His goodness.

Are The Things of God Fact or Fiction?

"He is not here: for He is risen as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay" (Mt.28:6).

Is our faith based on fact or fiction?...

Atheists,
lawyers,
scholars,
journalists
have tried to disprove the Resurrection...
and many have come away believing that He is the Christ,
the very Son of God and Savior of the world.

The Romans did everything to make sure
that the tomb of Jesus was secure,
but "up from the grave He arose"!

Faith is not a lack of intelligence...
World-class scientists, philosophers, and researchers
know that HE is real.

He's real to me this Easter season...
I know Him--
He's alive in my heart and life.
I praise and exalt Him...and dearly love Him.

The Living Christ is what this hopeless world needs in 2012.

Do you know this living Christ?
